EXPRESSING CERTAINTY

The tone of your writing reflects how confident you are towards your points raised. Choose verbs, adjectives and intensifiers that help craft a convincing message.  
  • Without Certainty

    Your tone lacks conviction, and you may fail to persuade the reader to agree with you.

  • With Certainty

    Your confidence gives the reader surety that you know what you are doing, making them more likely to trust and agree with you.

    Here are some intensifiers you can use to express certainty: indeed, certainly, undoubtedly, evidently, in fact, naturally

  • Without Certainty

    I propose that our team volunteers to help the elderly repaint their homes. This could give us the opportunity to interact with them, and perhaps improve their living conditions.

  • With Certainty

    I propose that our team volunteers to help the elderly repaint their homes. This will indeed give us the opportunity to interact with them, and undoubtedly improve their living conditions.
