CONSIDER YOUR AUDIENCE

When writing to persuade, it is important to keep who you are addressing in mind. This is known as your target reader or audience.
  • Non-Targeted Messaging

    Your writing does not consider your reader’s needs and does not motivate them to get onboard your proposal.

  • Targeted Messaging

    You tailor your writing to appeal to your reader’s needs and goals. This connects them with your message and shows why they should care / agree with you.
